The Idea behind Colored Notes
Colored notes are not a new idea and have been around for a long time, and for good reason! Piano keys look pretty much the same, and associating them with the notes on the staff can be a big challenge. That’s why it makes sense to use a color system for music notes, where each note corresponds to a color. Our included Piano Note Chart will help you make the connection between the piano keys and the notes on the staff. Also included are piano key labels that you can print, cut out and stick to the piano keys.
And if you combine that with the song sheets from this ebook, it will be much easier for young beginners to learn their first songs. Each song comes with the sheet music. However, it can be the case that absolute beginners will be overwhelmed by sheet music and that’s why we also include a version for each song with just the lyrics and the letter notes.
In the right corner of each song you find the piano keys highlighted with the keys that you need to use for the song. A red dot always marks the middle C note for an easier orientation.
